The New ERP 2.0 OBU for your Hyundai

The Singapore ERP 2.0 is a satellite-based system that replaces the current gantry-based system. The replacement from the current In-vehicle Unit (IU) with the new On-Board Unit (OBU) aims to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of road pricing as well as provide live updates of road and traffic situation to drivers.

Vehicle owners will receive a notification letter, email and/or SMS from LTA informing you of your two-month installation period and inviting you to book your installation appointment.

Vehicle owners are welcomed to install their OBU early, ahead of receiving LTA's notification. You may contact us directly to schedule OBU installation appointment.

Here’s what you need to know BEFORE the installation and to prepare for it:

1. Understanding your options for installation locations

We recommend carefully considering the accessibility and reach of the devices, especially the Processing Unit (for CEPAS card), before deciding on the installation locations.

This short animation shows you the location of each device, with options opened for the Processing Unit.

There are 5 locations where you can install the Processing Unit and you may like to know more about the convenience for each of the locations before deciding on the location.

Select an option that meets your specific needs/preferences. Our service advisors will assist you in determining the best installation placement, subject to the technical feasibility of individual Hyundai models.

2. Book an appointment with us

An in-person consultation is recommended. During the appointment, a service advisor will guide you through the installation procedure and assist in selecting the optimal installation location tailored to your requirements. This transition ensures vehicles comply with updated regulations while supporting improved traffic management across Singapore’s road network.
